Our Story
2017
Our story is rooted in the personal journey of our founder, who, like many young professionals, faced the challenge of choosing the right career path. Graduating from Cornell University, she navigated through ten different major changes, eventually settling on a major in finance
2020
Her early years in the finance industry provided valuable experience but also revealed a deeper truth: a realization that her initial career choice might not be the perfect fit. Undeterred, our founder made a courageous decision to switch careers, only to face a similar crossroads a couple of years later
2022
Caught in the cycle of uncertainty, she pondered the challenges of exploring new career paths. The fear of negatively impacting her resume and concerns about salary considerations made each decision more complex. Out of this personal struggle, SHIFT was born. More than a program, it became a manifestation of the belief that individuals should have the freedom to explore diverse career options without the looming fear of consequences associated with job switches later in life
