Alternatively, businesses can opt for a more flexible approach by signing up for a six-month rotation
SHIFT operates similar to traditional recruiting agencies, charging a percentage fee upon successful placement of a candidate from our program. Additionally, there is a semester fee that varies based on multiple business factors for semester participation. For new businesses, this fee is waived for the first semester to ensure SHIFT fits your business needs
The goal of SHIFT is to facilitate successful matches between students and businesses. While we encourage candidates to explore multiple industries for exposure, should a mutual fit arise, we are more than happy to facilitate immediate hiring directly from the program
Yes, we expect businesses to pay interns for the services they provide, similar to a normal internship
While we encourage students to explore at least two different industries during the program, we recognize the challenges of frequent relocation. As such, it is not mandatory. Students have the flexibility to reside in various cities if they find it appealing or are uncertain about their preferred location. If you opt for this choice, SHIFT collaborates with numerous college housing and dorm programs nationwide, offering affordable and convenient living arrangements.
We understand that a two-year commitment is a long time. To provide flexibility, we also offer one-year placement programs that consist of two six-month rotations
The short answer is it depends. The level of involvement and interview options vary based on the company. Some choose to actively engage by interviewing all candidates, while others may adopt a more hands-off approach
